Try-ons and MODL Pro

What's free, and what does Pro add?

A free account includes 5 try-ons a month and a closet that holds 10 pieces. MODL Pro includes 90 try-ons a month (fair use), room for your whole wardrobe in My Closet, the AI Closet Analyzer, and Style Studio for every saved look. A free trial, when one is offered, includes up to 30 try-ons; free try-ons you've already used that month count toward it.

Allowances reset every month, and unused try-ons don't roll over. Prices are shown in the app, in your local currency, before you subscribe.

What's the difference between try-on packs and MODL Pro?

Try-on packs are one-time purchases of 5, 20 or 50 try-ons. Nothing renews, and unused pack try-ons don't expire. They're used only after the month's allowance has run out, on the free plan or on Pro, and they add try-ons only — they don't unlock Pro features. Unused pack try-ons are lost if you delete your account. Try-on packs need MODL 1.17 or later.

MODL Pro is a subscription: 90 try-ons a month (fair use), plus a bigger My Closet (free holds 10 pieces), the AI Closet Analyzer and Style Studio. Prices for both are shown in the app, in your local currency, before you buy.

How do I take a photo that gives great try-ons?

Use one full-length photo of just you: head to feet in the frame, standing straight and facing the camera, arms a little away from your sides. Good, even light helps most — daylight from a window is ideal; avoid a bright window behind you. A plain, uncluttered background and fitted clothes show your shape best.

You can change your photo anytime in Account → Photos.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Apple bills and manages MODL Pro. On your iPhone, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → MODL, or in MODL go to Account → Manage subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid the next charge; you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for.

Deleting the app or your MODL account doesn't cancel the subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Shopping and sharing

A product page says it's no longer at the store. What happened?

Stores sell out of pieces and move or remove their pages. In MODL 1.17 or later, when a link you open in MODL no longer leads to the piece, MODL says so and offers to search that store for it, or you can stay on the page and keep browsing. On an earlier version, use the store's own search to look for it. A try-on you saved stays in your Wants either way.

How do shared links work, and how do I stop sharing?

When you share a try-on, a look or an outfit, MODL creates a link (getmodl.app/look/…) that anyone with it can open, in MODL or in a web browser. It shows the image — for a try-on, that's you wearing the piece — and the pieces, with links to shop them. It never shows your name or account details.

To turn a link off, tap Stop sharing on a saved look or on the link itself (open it in MODL), or turn off every link at once in Account → Shared links. Deleting a saved try-on or a piece turns its links off too. For an outfit you logged, you can also tap Make private. A link stops working within a few minutes; an image someone already opened can stay reachable for a while, and a preview already sent in a chat stays with the people you sent it to.

Links for try-ons and looks, Stop sharing and Shared links need MODL 1.17 or later. Earlier versions create a link only for an outfit you logged: turn it off with Make private, or email support@getmodl.app and we'll turn any link off for you.

Your account and data

How do I change or reset my password or email?

In MODL 1.17 or later, change your password in Account → Sign-in & security → Password. Forgot it? On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password? and we'll email you a reset link; open it on your iPhone to choose a new password. If it doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder or email support@getmodl.app.

To change your email in MODL 1.17 or later, go to Account → Sign-in & security → Email. That's for accounts that sign in with an email and password; if you use Sign in with Apple or Google, your email is managed by Apple or Google.

On an earlier version, Forgot password? emails you a link that signs you in, and the app has no screen to change your password or email: update MODL, or email support@getmodl.app.

How do I delete my account, and what's removed?

In MODL, open the Account tab and tap Delete Account (below Sign Out), then confirm. This permanently removes your account and sign-in, your body photos, your try-on images and saved looks (Wants), your closet, calendar plans, measurements, and activity history. It takes effect immediately and can't be undone.

Stored files, including the garment photos you added, are removed within minutes. An App Store subscription is separate — cancel it as described above.

How is my body photo stored and used?

Your body photo is used only to create your own try-ons. Framing is checked on your phone, and nothing is uploaded until you use the photo. It's stored with our backend provider (Supabase) and sent to Google's Vertex AI and Gemini API each time you ask for a try-on. We never sell your photos or use them for advertising.

Your photos are stored at unlisted, unguessable links that aren't indexed. Anyone who has a link can view that image, so only share links you're comfortable sharing. Change your photo anytime in Account → Photos, or remove everything with Delete Account.

Something isn't working. What should I do?

In MODL, go to Account → Support → Report a problem. It opens an email to us with your app version and device details attached (never your photos), so we can look into it quickly.
