Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how MODL ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the MODL mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a unique identifier from your sign-in provider (Apple, Google, or email). We do not store your password.
- Profile information. Body measurements, style preferences, and profile details you choose to provide to personalize size and fit recommendations.
- Photos you upload. Images of yourself and of garments you submit for virtual try-on. These are processed by our AI partners and stored in your private wardrobe.
- Try-on results. AI-generated images produced from your uploads, saved to your account so you can revisit them.
- Usage data. Number of try-ons performed, subscription status, feature usage, and in-app activity we use to operate and improve the service.
- Device information. iOS version, device model, language, and crash diagnostics.
How we use your information
- To generate virtual try-ons, size recommendations, and styling suggestions.
- To operate your account, wardrobe, and subscription.
- To improve the App's accuracy, reliability, and features.
- To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests.
- To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud or abuse.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that power the App, and only to the extent needed to provide the service:
- Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and image storage.
- Fashn.ai — generates virtual try-on results from the photos you submit.
- Google Gemini (via our backend) — analyzes garments, generates styling, and produces size recommendations.
- Apple App Store — handles subscription billing. We never see your payment details.
- Sentry — collects crash and error diagnostics to help us fix bugs.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or to protect the safety of our users.
Your photos
Photos you submit are used to generate your try-on result and are stored in your private wardrobe, accessible only to you via your account. You can delete any try-on or uploaded image at any time from within the App. Deleted images are removed from our storage within 30 days.
Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data, photos, and try-on history within 30 days, except where we must retain limited records to comply with legal obligations (e.g., billing records).
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can:
- Delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete Account in the App.
- Email support@getmodl.app with any privacy request.
We will respond to verified requests within 30 days.
Children
MODL is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
International users
MODL is operated from the United States. If you use the App from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the App or by email.
